Elections Canada | The #1 source of Voting Info
First time voting? Do you want to know how to register to vote? Want to make sure you have the proper ID? Check this website out. Elections Canada is working hard to make sure YOU are eligible to vote this October!
FactsCan.ca | Check The Facts!
Politicians and Political Parties love to throw out some big numbers, big accusations, and big ideas. Rapid fire stats are hard to fact-check, this website gives voters an opportunity to review what was said, the stats, and how it stands up to further questioning.
I CAN Party | Find Party Positions
I CAN Party is one of the hottest websites this election! There is information on the parties' positions on a variety of issues, including domestic, foreign, economic, environmental, current events, and way more to come (The CBC, Agriculture, The Arctic, Free Trade, Health Care, etc). Check it out!
I Side With | Where Do Your Issues Fit In?
I side with is an old friend to many political junkies. Complete a series of questions by answer "yes," "no," or clicking "other stances" for a profile on each party and how they stand on your most important political issues (which you have to identify with each question you answer). It's an easy quiz to give you an idea of which Political Parties may be worth exploring more in depth. Fair warning -- you may be surprised to learn you side with a party you don't support on specific issues (but this is part of the fun)!
Macleans - This or That Policy Face-off | Test your Policy Knowledge!
This quiz forces individuals to chose between two policies, which may or may not be related. It tests your policy knowledge, forces you to prioritize issues, and asks you to really consider "what do I want for Canada?" You will definitely be surprised with the results! But like all quizzes, this is only an introduction to the parties' (Green, NDP, Liberal, and Conservative) positions on a variety of issues.
Open Media | What is Canada's Digital future?
Interested in the future of Canada's digital world? Want to know more about copyright issues, internet freedom, and surveillance in Canada? Open Media is an advocacy group focused on education and information about digital rights and privacy rights in Canada.
Vote Savvy | Who Doesn't Love an Online Quiz?
This website is personalized to understand what issues matter to you, and will give you updates along the way on what the parties think on each issue. You'll also receive information about the candidate in your local riding. Plus, you'll be helping two researchers identify and understand issues that matter to young citizens and how we interact with technology during elections. This could, in theory, influence further elections. The only downfall? We're still waiting for the quiz to go live!

APPS
Vote Note | Keep track of your riding!
The nice thing about smart phone apps is that they can easily be accessed from any location. If you are moving to campus this September, you can use the app to find polling locations, your riding name, etc. once you arrive. The downfall? In order to receive more information about your local candidates you may have to contact the campaign office and request they submit it to Vote Note.
